Students will learn to reuse an object that might generally end up in a landfill, to save energy and reduce the amount of waste in landfills, and create planters from plastic water bottles.
The Energy Coalition will send you 2 packs of seeds, 1 ball of twine, and 1 large bag of soil to bring this lesson to life.
Lesson Objective: Students will explore waste types and analyze how plastic consumption contributes to filling up landfills, and how energy and water play a role in the production of plastic. Students will activate their creativity to reuse and repurpose single-use objects.
