Energy is Everything is funded by Redding Electric Utility (REU), a publicly-owned utility located in Redding, California, for TK-8 educators within the Redding Electric Utility service territory. No purchase required.

REU is locally controlled by the Redding City Council and has been serving the community for nearly 100 years.  Local control and essential relationships with other electric utility organizations have enabled REU to provide some of the lowest, most competitive rates to more than 42,000 residential and business customers within Redding. REU employs nearly 200 individuals and actively works to build and grow the workforce by encouraging students of all ages to participate in STEM-based activities and programs. REU hopes that these students will find a passion for the STEM fields and eventually return to their hometown to work for the utility. REU tries to focus on all aspects of our community. Being a publicly-owned utility means many things, but their top priority is always reliability and customer experience. REU believes that educating the community on electrical safety, energy efficiency, and providing community improvement programs in both the commercial and private sectors benefits Redding as a whole. By partnering with Energy is Everything, Redding provides teachers with materials that easily adapt to their curriculum and build an understanding and interest in what REU and public power mean for Redding. It is important to REU to provide more than affordable, reliable power; they also want to provide support, assistance, and education to our community whenever they can.
