Students will learn about types of e-waste and the significance of proper disposal. They will work together to research local resources to dispose of or refurbish e-waste, and develop a campaign to collect and recycle/refurbish the waste in their communities.

Lesson Objective: Students will develop a campaign/event to help change community habits and thought processes surrounding e-waste. The campaign will help inform their community on how proper disposal of e-waste will reduce the harmful impact of e-waste on Earth’s systems.
Suggested Teaching Time: Two 45 minute class periods
NGSS Standards: MS-ETS1-1, MS-ESS3-4, MS-ESS3-3, MS-LS2-5, MS-PS1-3
