Students will role-play to explore the health effects of pollution on the human body. Students will also look at transportation (cars) as one of the contributing factors of pollution, and calculate their carbon emission from their drive to school. Finally, students will use mathematics and computational thinking to calculate the effects of driving a car on the environment and the human body.

Lesson Objective: Students understand the negative impacts pollution has on the environment and the human body. Students become part of the solution by arranging carpools and choosing to ride a bike or walk as an alternative to driving.
